1. About rtrn

rtrn.online (“rtrn”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is a lost property QR tag service operated from the United Kingdom. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. The service

rtrn lets you create QR code tags linked to your contact information. When someone finds a lost item with one of your tags attached, they can scan the QR code to see your contact details and get in touch.

We provide the service on a free tier (up to 3 tags) and a paid Pro tier (unlimited tags). Features and limits may change over time. We will give reasonable notice of changes that significantly affect your use.

3. Your account

  • You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
  • You are responsible for all activity that takes place under your account.
  • You must provide an accurate email address and keep it up to date.
  • One account per person — do not create accounts on behalf of others without their knowledge.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use rtrn to:

  • Publish false, misleading, or fraudulent contact information
  • Harass, impersonate, or deceive other people
  • Violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Attempt to disrupt or damage the service or its infrastructure
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or copy any part of the service

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

5. Your content

You own the contact information and tag data you add to rtrn. By using the service, you grant us a limited licence to store and display that information as necessary to operate the service — specifically, to show your contact details to anyone who scans your QR code.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the information you publish. We are not liable for any consequences arising from incorrect or outdated contact details on your tags.

6. Pro subscription

  • Pro subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe.
  • You can cancel at any time. Access continues until the end of your current billing period.
  • We do not offer refunds for partial months.
  • Prices may change with 30 days' notice by email.

7. Service availability

We aim to keep rtrn available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, make updates, or temporarily suspend the service without notice. We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by downtime.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, rtrn is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not responsible for any loss or damage arising from your use of the service, including lost property that is not returned despite a functioning QR tag, or failure to receive scan notifications.

Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £50, whichever is greater.

9. Termination

You can delete your account at any time by contacting hello@rtrn.online. Upon deletion, all your tags, contact data, and scan history are permanently removed.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, with or without notice depending on severity.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you by email of any material changes at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
